The movement towards Integrating technology into fitness & wellness is now mainstream. Whether you love it or are indifferent, it’s here to stay. Typically, I am very low tech when it comes to my work outs and I believe that technology can never replace the actual work needed to stay in shape. However, with this being said- there are times where the technology can help be a motivator.
For this particular reason, I do have a fitness watch because I like keeping track of my mileage, calories, burned, etc. Monitoring my progress on a fitness watch gives me that external motivation. There are many different types of fitness watches on the market today. Below are 5 different types of watches that have a myriad of features. I hope you find one to your liking and appeals to you based on your current needs.

This is a great watch if you are a very serious athlete and need details on your fitness activity.
The Polar Vantage M has very involved metrics. This includes HR monitoring for over 130 sports and the ability to track cardio load and perceived load. Wear while you sleep to get insights into whether or not you are overtraining.
The functionality makes this almost seem like a personal Coach. There is a nightly recharge that gives you information on how to train, improve your sleep and boost your energy.
The battery on this watch lasts up to 30 hours, it is touchscreen and also waterproof! The large face makes it easier to see the numbers. You are able to select from 1 of 5 colors on the watchband and you can buy other bands separately. Overall, this looks like a great watch for someone who doesn’t mind spending the extra cash and needs the involved metrics.
